1. What have I accomplished so far this semester?
Since this is my very first screen printing class, I had to understand how everything worked before getting started. After getting a few lessons under my belt, I jumped in ready to make art! I knew I wanted to work with organic shapes/designs from the beginning and I am continuing to do so. I’ve started printing on fabric/paper/and shrinky dinks with my second project. I’m really enjoying the process and wish I had more hours in the day.
2. How have my goals/plans changed?
I wouldn’t say they’ve changed but they have evolved. When we spoke last week, you gave me so many ideas and directions I could go with my work. I’m excited to print on fabric and bags and add more depth to my images. I’ve printed on different surfaces and plan to make jewelry with fabric and shrinky dinks. I’m so excited to see how they will turn out.
3. Where do I see my work going in the next half of the semester?
I would love to keep up with what I am doing. I really enjoy the forms and shapes that I am creating and want to see where I will go with them next. I want to make prints that go flush to the edge and use multiple colors of the same image. I am excited to see what will come.
