Your blog entry this week: Write an updated draft of your artist statement. Consider how your work has changed in the past several weeks. What ideas will you pursue next? Will printmaking continue to play a role in your work?

Natural, organic and color are words that represent my art. Lines and shapes of different colors are layered on shrink plastic through the process of screen printing. The pieces are light in weight and visually interesting with intricate designs that become 1/3 their original size. These shapes and colors are also printed on paper in many layers with bold, bright colors in the background and foreground. Color becomes scientific and playful when mixed with other colors and designs. I want to use printmaking in future works and continue to play and experiment with color, layers and shapes on multiple surfaces.
